Suddenly, on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, Stanley Ray MacNiven Sinclair, in his 71st year. Beloved husband, for 47 years, and best friend of Helen. Proud and loving father of Gina (Jeff Stewart) and Ian. Cherished Grampa of Holly and Joycelyn. Dear brother of Bill (Joan), Alan (Nancy) and Sheila Hamilton (Paul). Predeceased by his parents Stanley Sinclair and Pearl (née McEnery). Mac will also be greatly missed by Jessica Stewart and his extended Landsborough family, nieces, nephews, neighbours, former colleagues and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Civic Hospital Staff in Emergency, ICU, Neurology and the Trillium Foundation Organ Donor Team for their kindness, care and sensitivity. Mac’s passion for flight and aeronautics influenced him from the age of 17 at which time he joined the Officers Training Program, officially earning his Royal Canadian Air Force wings in 1963 leading him into a challenging and satisfying career with both the RCAF and the NRC – where he spent his last morning consulting. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.) on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service celebrating Mac’s life will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 382 Centrepointe Drive on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers a donation in Mac’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Ottawa Mission or Salvation Army would be appreciated.
