After a long and happy life, Albert has passed away, aged 95, on June 5th, gone to join ‘his girl’ Christine, his beloved wife of 58 years. The memory of a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend will live on in Margaret (Brian), Andrew and Matthew Guenette and the many he touched along the way. Al was born and raised in Montreal, the youngest of 4 brothers. After serving his country in England, he returned to Montreal and married his sweetheart Christine. They enjoyed every moment of their lives together, first in Montreal and then retirement in Kingston. Al loved his golf, curling, daily walks, church activities and socializing with family and friends. He had a zest for life, a generosity of spirit and a slightly irreverent sense of humour that was enjoyed by all. Al will be missed by many nieces and nephews, his brother-in-law Milt Schmidt and long time friends Len James, Kurt Peterson and Edna Collins. We would like to thank Violet, his special friend who added so much to his life over the last 6 years. The family is deeply grateful to the caring and compassionate staff at the QCH and the Valley Stream Manor. At a later date, a private family interment will take place in Kingston. Sadly missed, never forgotten and always in our hearts.
