Peacefully at home on Sunday, April 17th, 2011. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerald L. Locking, her parents Justus Schlitt and Martha Jakob and her only brother Gus. She leaves to mourn her nieces Marlene Urbanski (Gordon) and their children Mathew and Miranda, and Valerie Triantafillou and her children Sarah (Pat) and Christopher, Gerry's daughter Heather Locking-Cusolito (John) and many dear friends and relatives in her native Germany, as well as Ft. Frances, Rainy River, Ottawa, Toronto, Kitchener, Calgary and USA. During the time that Margaret lived in Ottawa, she was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She was a long time member of two Kitchener golf courses, as well as lovely Glen Mar Golf Course in Ottawa and several bridge clubs. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd.(Between Baseline Rd and Bayshore Dr.), Nepean on Monday, April 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 400 Sparks Street at Bay, Ottawa on Tuesday, April 26th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Interment Highland Park Cemetery, Carp, ON. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Outreach Program, would be appreciated.
