It is with extremely heavy, but relieved hearts that the family informs you of the passing of Gwen on Monday, August 20, after a courageous 8-month long battle with cancer. The Angels have taken her Home. Gwen died peacefully with her loving daughter by her side. Gwen is predeceased by her parents, Irvine and Elizabeth (Baird) Gibson. Gwen will be forever missed by her cherished daughter and best friend, Lynn Jackson of Kanata, and her loving son, Wayne Daniels (Heather) of Perth. Gwen was an extremely proud Grandma of Elizabeth Jackson and special `Gwenma` to Zoe. She leaves behind her dearest sisters, Joyce Linnen of London, and Helen Gibson of Almonte. The family is forever grateful to Gwen`s longtime friend and neighbour, Helene Munro for her continued, unconditional love, support and friendship. The family also wishes to thank the CCAC and all the exceptional St. Elizabeth Home Care Nurses who compassionately cared for Gwen these past several months. Friends may call at the Carleton Place Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 61 Lake Avenue West, on Saturday, August 25, from 10 a.m. until time of Gwen`s Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
