It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Claire Allan (nee Moffat), on July 13, 2011, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, after a short and sudden illness. She fought a brave and courageous battle. Catherine is predeceased by her husband Gordon Allan. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Allan (Peter Webb) of Kitchener, and Laura Allan (Richard Hopper), and her grandchildren Lauren Hopper of Vancouver and Michael Hopper. Special thanks to the Emergency, ICU and Operating Room health care teams at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for their exceptional care. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd (between Bayshore Dr and Baseline Rd), on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Richard's Anglican Church, 8 Withrow Avenue, on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society or the Ottawa Public Library.
